Home to glamour, the A-List, teeth visible from space and in-and-of-itself an adjective for creativity. ^
Yes California is ground zero in the artistic and entertainment fields. Why then, I can’t help but muse and ponder, why then is this monstrosity of a logo the symbol of Californian Tourism facing outwards to the world. It’s just, um, bad – ne c’est pas?
Has there been cut backs in CA Government spending – did Arnie design this in between fathering love kinder? Perhaps on that theme it was mini-Arn that designed this for a school project. Surely though for any sighted art teacher the mark for this project would sadly still have needed to be an ‘F’
Even more irritatingly I can only but imagine the type of enormo-dollars that would have been paid for this design. Surely that snazzy yellow wiggly line thingy alone – a monument to graphic design, an Opus of design – would be worth $200K or so.
Is it just me who thinks this logo befits a six year old’s lemonade stand slightly more than the being the visual representation of such a powerful US state? Any thoughts dudes?
